Christchurch Earthquake

I live right in downtown Christchurch – so when the 7.1 earthquake hit I was able to get some pictures of the aftermath.
Super lucky that the quake struck at 4:35am and not one single person died! Had it been 12 hours earlier – 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon it would have been a different story. Below are some of the pics I got…

Just saw the amazing stills you took post quake – they are truly beautiful and evocative – congratulations I will keep an eye out for work you do in future. They look like film stills – truth is stranger than fiction and so much more powerful.
